"Hi Mandy,

As you know, Lloyd lost his brother and best buddy this year. Rather than him being lonely with just the neighbour coming in to feed him daily, I decided he deserved a bit more care and attention, for my own peace of mind. Hence his very first holiday at the age of 8, and the very first time I've ever trusted one of my animals to a cattery.

It was a good call, Lloyd was very well looked after indeed and was on top form when I picked him up. He had clearly been plotting while we were away as he has been constantly catching mice since he arrived home. I haven't yet broken the news that he's going to be staying again very soon.

"At peace. When I drop my three cats off at Cats County Club in Shillington it gives me the peace I need to ensure I know my cats are well looked after and cared for so I can then relax and enjoy myself knowing they are safe when I go away. I have used this cattery so many times now and love the people who run it. If I am worried they text me a photo of them and update me. They always get fussed and loved everyday and are closely monitored. I recently collected them three days ago and they were bright eyed and in fantastic condition. They provide beds but I take their blankets and bedding, games and toys to keep them familiar with our smell and they always are fine with going, knowing we will come back as they are familiar with the same routine. I would gladly go and work there for nothing!!!

"Good value for such a personal caring service. We use Cats' Country Club regularly as we know they are caring cat owners themselves and we can rely on the fact that our cat will be safe, secure, cosy, warm and correctly fed and watered as well as given a cuddle too.

We wouldn't consider going anywhere else and it's always a pleasure seeing the owners who are consistently pleasant and helpful and visiting their delightful setting in Shillington, which is quite so convenient for us nearby.

Yes we had a great holiday thank you =)
Spring & Summer are completely fine & they have settled back in here nicely - without any trauma/concern whatsoever - just as if they've never been away!
Oli let them out unbeknown to me within 25 mins of being home - the windows were shut/cat flap shut/doors sealed (& evidently his ears were shut too when I told everyone we'd keep them indoors for an hour or two after we got home) .........but let them out he did & they were straight back on the fence "vole watching" after a nice dinner. They were meowing to be let back in to the main part of the house (they sleep in the utility overnight) after we'd gone to bed too, so they obviously don't hold any grudges about us taking a much needed break!!

"Sorry for the delay in replying. Thanks so much for looking after Stewie and for letting us know about his thirst and urinating a lot. We wouldn't have noticed as he goes outside a lot! He had his annual check up at the vets last week and we mentioned what you'd said. They tested him for diabetes and that was the problem - bless him. He has now started treatment (twice daily insulin injections) and seems to be doing well.
I imagine you're pretty full up in August but on the off chance - is there any space 12th-17th? And for future reference are you happy to give the injections if he was to stay with you again?

Thank you for looking after Prince for a couple of nights whilst I was in Lister Hospital. I did wonder if he would pine for me and yowl all night long, so I'm glad to hear he was no trouble. Not being on Facebook, I suppose I can't access it in order to leave a message or a 'Like'.
From first speaking with Mandy on the telephone, my instinct told me my cat would be in very good hands - and he tells me he was. For me, peace of mind was what I was looking for. Not just a place to park him. As I drove away from the Cats Country Club having left Prince with you, I felt no qualms but was quite relaxed and relieved I had selected the right place, run by the right people.
Should the need arise I would not hesitate to leave him in your care again.
I attach a pic of Prince taken 15 minutes after we arrived home.

For the past ten years our family has had peace of mind knowing that our cat Simba has had a home from home whenever we've gone away. We always receive a cheery welcome from Colin and Mandy, and all the cats look happy and comfortable in their peaceful rural location.
We can warmly recommend this special place, and now that we are moving up north we can only hope we find a new home from home for Simba which comes with this sort of recommendation.

"Once again Fritz has come back from his country club in peak condition. With other catteries we have had to keep him in for some time when he got home as he was so unsettled, but when he gets home from the CCC he's ready to go out within an hour or so. Indeed this time he was howling the place down to get out within minutes!
